Border Gentian

Gentiana 'True Blue' PP20,433

Truly vivid blue blooms with medium green lance leaved clumps.

An easy-to-grow selection of Gentian, this is perfect for the middle of a perennial border or as an accent in containers. It forms an upright mound of shiny green leaves, bearing open funnel-shaped blooms of the most amazing electric-blue shade from midsummer to early autumn. Excellent for cutting, also attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Developed in the US by hybridizer Darrell Probst. USPP#20433: unlicensed propagation prohibited.

Greenhouse Growing Instructions:

Grow on at 62-68° F with high light levels keeping soil evenly moist. Once plants are actively growing fertilizer can be applied at 75-125 ppm N at each watering. Plants benefit from pinching 2 weeks after transplant and will generally finish in 8-10 weeks based on growing conditions.

Transplanting Instructions:
