Clumps of brilliant lime green foliage edged in dark red turns to gold late summer. Pink plumes comprised of hundreds of tiny flowers add to this riot of color.
Color Flash is a recently introduced series of Garden Astilbe. This selection forms a mound of ferny leaves that begin bright yellow in spring, later fading to chartreuse as they mature. Feathery blush-pink plumes appear in midsummer. Best with morning sun and afternoon shade, in a rich, moist soil. Outstanding and unique for both its foliage and flowers. A terrific choice for containers. USPP#17816: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
