Larger and more tender option to green asparagus. Wonderfully mild, nutty flavor when cooked; 20% higher sugar content than green varieties makes for a more flavorful asparagus. Spears turn green when cooked.

For best results follow planting instructions on the back of this package. Do not harvest asparagus the year it is planted. A light harvest may be taken the second season. Harvest spears with tight tips by snapping the 7-9 inch stalks near the ground. Once established, pick all the spears produced as allowing them fern out gives the asparagus beetles a home to lay their eggs.
