This amazing variety puts on the best color show in early spring with vivid, sun resistant golden leaves and chartreuse markings.

Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This midsized specimen selection has bright golden-yellow leaves with a wide, streaky green margin. Pale lavender flowers appear in August. Some direct sun will bring out the best possible colour. Suitable for planting in mixed containers or tubs. Hosta go completely dormant in the fall, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid spring. Easily divided in either spring or fall. A sport of ?Guacamole', introduced by Shady Oaks Nursery in Minnesota. Selected as the 2006 Hosta of the Year by the American Hosta Growers Association.

Greenhouse Growing Instructions:

Grow at 50-55° F under long days to promote root growth, keeping slightly dry between irrigations until sprouts appear. Once actively growing keep evenly moist and provide 35%-50% shade. A top dressing of slow release fertilizer can be applied taking care to keep away from the crown. Hosta generally finish in 6-8 weeks based on growing conditions.

Transplanting Instructions:

Plant in well draining soil. Spread roots downward in pot leaving the eyes just at the soil surface when watered in. If necessary long roots may be trimmed. Apply a broad spectrum fungicide according to directions to avoid crown and root rot.
