Solving the Bulb Puzzle
Whether you have been selling Fall bulbs successfully for years or thinking about selling Fall bulbs for the first time, the ordering process can be overwhelming. Our catalog offers over 500 varieties but space and budget is a limiting factor.
The following is guideline on how to divide your order:
Early Bird Program: Receive a subset of your bulbs early due to the nature of the product such as Fall Flowering Crocus; Colchicums; Garlic; German Bearded Iris. To supplement this selection we also have a small group of tulips and crocus that make great wedding favors for summer weddings.
Main
Program: Your main varieties which you can sell in traditional bin boxes for ultimate flexibility or chose the convenience of pre packaged bulbs which have unique UPC codes and complete planting instructions on every package. Either way this is the area where you can differentiate yourself from the competition by offering varieties not available in the chain stores.
Promotional Program: Think you cant compete with the chain stores? Think again; price our promotional packages such as a 50 count bag of Daffodils or Tulips with a 30% markup and you will compete with the big box stores.
Indoor Program: The indoor bulbs are the amaryllis and paperwhites. We normally start shipping these around the middle of October and have them in stock into December. We offer jumbo size paperwhites in a attractive wooden crate, and we have amaryllis in bulk and in gift boxes. You can get 3 varieties of amaryllis in the jumbo size in wooden crates and many more in packages. We also carry the gift items like more upscale amaryllis kits and hyacinths kits in glass or ceramic vases. The bulk paperwhites are available in September, if so desired.
